With regard to recycling, only few materials can be compared with sheet lead. The collection degree of lead is 95%, the highest among all non-ferrous metals. Take note: the qualities of sheet lead are fully retained, in contrast to many alternative materials. This is because sheet lead can be recycled entirely into a new product. During the recycling process, it does not make any difference how often and how long it was used before recycling. So the same material that prevents leakage today in a modern building may have been used 100 years ago on a country house and a century before that on a church or cathedral!
